For Lenders

Thank you for supporting a loan through CMI!

You'll find here the inside story on specific loans or activities that you can contribute to, as well as information on accountability.

We know that times are tough for many (personally I have had to say no to a number of good causes this year and buying grapes has become an occasional luxury), however we are still going to ask you to give.

Why?

Because $5, $50 or $500 all make a significant difference in the number of people that we are able to help, the number of trees we can plant, and jobs we can help create. I once read that what you most want in this world you should give away - abundance comes back to us all in forms we could not have anticipated, and I encourage you to make an investment with us that will last for years down the line.

What Does my Money Do?

Over 80% of your contribution goes towards lending, tree planting, and skills development programs in Zambia. The other 20% is designated to help the people on the other side of this screen pay their bills, buy food, and advocate for support from new members. We hold no full time paid staff, so there are no bloated salaries being fed by your money. However, we cannot run off of volunteers forever, and will be working towards funds for full time offices in Zambia and the US within the next year. If you would like to support the administrative operations of our organization, please indicate your interest on the donation form!

You can make a contribution to a specific loan group by scrolling down the Support a Loan page, or simply click on the DONATE button to give a general gift.
