ContinueHello, Musenga!
Welcome to Color Me In! Glad to see you here and hope you will enjoy the site!
Welcome Musenga! I am really looking forward to listening to more of your experiences working with micro-finance in Zambia. As you know, we at CMi have operated under an alternative lending model (allowing participants to pay back part of their debt by planting trees), and we are not quite sure what the future holds. As Director my main considerations are building a program which can generate the funds needed to run our programs in a more sustainable manner over the long run without relying 100% on the donor community, and also fostering a strong sense of accountability and responsibility among the people we are working with in Zambia. Loans are certainly not easy to figure out, and I hope that we can welcome you sufficiently to share more of your ideas, comments and insights as we discuss issues critical to this world of truly sustainable development and human growth we are pursuing.
With care and welcoming wishes!
Sarah
