300% increase in profits
One member of the Bupensebele Fish Farmers realized a 300% increase in profits during his last harvest from our loan for supplemental feed last fall. Other households (5) are expecting harvests in December.
CMI's first loan continues to do good
The 25 members of the Tiyeseko women's group (CMI's first loan) are continuing to cycle their original profits from chicken-rearing into the purchase and resale of agricultural products as well as internal lending amongst members. They've purchased their own plot of land and the community Social Care for the Vulnerable they forwarded $200 to is still servicing 75 at risk members of the community.
96% repayment rate
180 women have successfully paid back their loans from CMI in Central Province at 8% interest over 6 months (96% repayment complete the rest expected in December). Many of the women used their $25-$75 to sell food products amongst the local community and send children to the local community school.
